Bridge Bar & Bistro: Reviews

Location;
This is in the city and we live about 12 kms away. but no problem as it is right beside the DART line (grand Canal Dock station), and boy were we glad we took the trip. It is under the bridge (hence the name!!) in an old part of the city. Cobbled streets, quiet road and full of character.

First impressions.
Great with a relaxing atmosphere, style and taste. This our type of restaurant. Warm friendly smiling welcome and straight to table. Style, and more style with a warm red comfortable seating. The waiters were professional and charming.

Food;
Starters of freshly made perfect and well flavoured and seasoned parfait. I like parfait but all too often it has been bland. The accompanying chutney and jelly were delicious. My duck salad could not be faulted. Salad was seasoned perfectly and with a delicate hand.
Mains for both of us was Halibut which was cooked perfectly.....hot with all the goodness and moisture intact! I can't resist this fish after eating it in Alaska. 
Dessert of chocolate tart which was as expected. just a few minutes in the warm kitchen would have made the difference as it was too cold to table.

Overall;
A lovely professional bistro restaurant with great style and atmosphere serving top quality food.

We would for sure go back for more!
